About Us

Our Story

At eight years old, Mehmet stood on a stool in his family’s restaurant in Turkey, rolling bread beside the usta, the masters of the kitchen. He wanted to be one of them. His father put him to work washing dishes, hoping the chore would put him off. Instead, it gave Mehmet more time in the kitchen, and made him want to cook even more. 

Mehmet watched, learned, and kept asking questions. He studied art, traveled the world to explore food, and eventually came to America, where he studied the art and science of food at Harvard. Wherever he went, he carried the lessons of his family’s kitchen with him 

At Tiffany’s, those family traditions meet ingredients Mehmet has discovered along the way. He gives each flavor room to shine, bringing something new to the plate while keeping its roots close. 

Around the table, we take our cue from the Turkish meyhane: meze to share, rakı to pour, and handpicked wines for anyone who prefers to travel by the glass. Mehmet brings his cook’s curiosity to the cocktails, too. Order another plate, stay for another drink, and let the conversation run a little longer. 

When it came time to give this deeply personal restaurant a name, Mehmet and Malti found it in a memory of their own. Tiffany’s is where Mehmet bought Malti’s engagement ring. Now it’s the place they’ve made to welcome you into their story.
